Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Jerseyville for Hubert Henry Ringhausen.
Mr. Ringhausen, 84, died April 6.
He was born September 4, 1934 on the family farm in Jerseyville, the son of the late Stephen and Lucy (Pellikan) Ringhausen. He married the former Rosemary Krause in 1959; she died in 2018.
He worked from TWA from 1965 until his retirement in 1994. Known to his co-workers as Ringo, he received many awards during his career for integrity, honesty, excellence, attendance and performance. In 1983, he was awarded Employee of the Year for all of TWA.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a very active member, serving as trustee and deacon, during his lifelong membership of the First Presbyterian Church in Jerseyville.
Surviving are a son and daughter; a granddaughter; sisters, including Betty (Kenneth) Prough of Jerseyville; two brothers, including Phillip (Sheila) Ringhausen of Medora and many extended family.
Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to services at 10 a.m.. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey with military graveside rites given by Jerseyville American Legion Post 492.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Jerseyville.
